Fakultas Hukum Universitas Sebelas Maret (FH UNS) melaksanakan kegiatan Penyerahan Sertifikat Indikasi Geografis Kopi Robusta Lemukih Buleleng pada Senin, 29 Desember 2025, bertempat di Ruang Sidang Pertamina, Gedung 4 Fakultas Hukum UNS. Kegiatan ini merupakan tindak lanjut atas penetapan Kopi Robusta Lemukih Buleleng sebagai produk Indikasi Geografis, yang proses pendampingannya dilakukan oleh Fakultas Hukum UNS bekerja sama dengan Pemerintah Kabupaten Buleleng.
Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari implementasi Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi, khususnya dalam bidang pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan penguatan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis riset. Melalui pendampingan hukum yang dilakukan oleh tim peneliti Fakultas Hukum UNS, kegiatan ini menjadi wujud kontribusi perguruan tinggi dalam memberikan perlindungan hukum terhadap produk unggulan daerah serta mendorong pemanfaatan kekayaan intelektual secara berkelanjutan.
Acara penyerahan sertifikat dihadiri oleh Bupati Kabupaten Buleleng, dr. I Nyoman Sutjidra, Sp.OG, Staf Ahli Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi Bidang Penguatan Ekosistem Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi, pimpinan Fakultas Hukum UNS, tim peneliti, serta jajaran perangkat daerah di lingkungan Pemerintah Kabupaten Buleleng, yang meliputi Badan Riset dan Inovasi Daerah, Dinas Pariwisata, Dinas Pertanian, Dinas Perdagangan, Perindustrian, Koperasi, dan Usaha Kecil Menengah, serta unsur terkait lainnya sebagai mitra terdampak kegiatan.
Rangkaian kegiatan meliputi sambutan pimpinan Fakultas Hukum UNS, sambutan Bupati Kabupaten Buleleng, pengarahan dari Staf Ahli Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi, penyerahan Sertifikat Indikasi Geografis Kopi Robusta Lemukih Buleleng oleh FH UNS kepada Bupati Buleleng, penyerahan piagam penghargaan kepada Fakultas Hukum UNS dan tim peneliti, serta penyerahan kenang-kenangan dan sesi foto bersama.
Pimpinan Fakultas Hukum UNS menegaskan bahwa kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk komitmen UNS dalam mendukung perlindungan hukum terhadap produk unggulan daerah, sekaligus memperkuat peran perguruan tinggi dalam mendorong pembangunan daerah berbasis kekayaan intelektual. Melalui kerja sama yang berkelanjutan dengan pemerintah daerah, FH UNS berkomitmen untuk terus menghadirkan pendampingan akademik yang berdampak nyata bagi masyarakat.
Kegiatan ini mendukung pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs), khususnya SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) melalui peningkatan nilai ekonomi produk unggulan daerah, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) melalui penguatan perlindungan kekayaan intelektual, serta SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) melalui kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi dan pemerintah daerah.
Sebagai outcome nyata, kegiatan ini memberikan kepastian hukum terhadap Kopi Robusta Lemukih Buleleng sebagai produk Indikasi Geografis, meningkatkan daya saing dan nilai tambah produk kopi lokal, serta mendorong kesejahteraan masyarakat dan pelaku usaha di Kabupaten Buleleng melalui pemanfaatan perlindungan kekayaan intelektual secara berkelanjutan.

UNS Faculty of Law Hands Over Geographical Indication Certificate for Lemukih Buleleng Robusta Coffee
The Faculty of Law, Sebelas Maret University ( FH UNS ) held the Geographical Indication Certificate Handover for Lemukih Buleleng Robusta Coffee on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Pertamina Meeting Room, Building 4, Faculty of Law , UNS . This activity is a follow-up to the determination of Lemukih Buleleng Robusta Coffee as a Geographical Indication product, the assistance process of which was carried out by the UNS Faculty of Law in collaboration with the Buleleng Regency Government.
This activity is part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, specifically in the areas of community service and strengthening research-based contextual learning. Through legal assistance provided by the UNS Faculty of Law research team , this activity demonstrates the university’s contribution to providing legal protection for superior regional products and encouraging the sustainable use of intellectual property.
The certificate handover ceremony was attended by the Regent of Buleleng Regency, dr. I Nyoman Sutjidra, Sp.OG, Expert Staff for Higher Education, Science, and Technology in the Field of Strengthening the Higher Education, Science, and Technology Ecosystem, the leadership of the UNS Faculty of Law , the research team, and the ranks of regional apparatus within the Buleleng Regency Government, which include the Regional Research and Innovation Agency, the Tourism Office, the Agriculture Office, the Trade, Industry, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises Office, as well as other related elements as partners affected by the activity.
The series of activities included remarks from the leadership of the UNS Faculty of Law , remarks from the Regent of Buleleng Regency, direction from the Expert Staff of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, the handover of the Certificate of Geographical Indication of Lemukih Buleleng Robusta Coffee by the UNS Faculty of Law to the Regent of Buleleng, the handover of award certificates to the UNS Faculty of Law and the research team, as well as the handover of souvenirs and a group photo session.
The leadership of the UNS Faculty of Law emphasized that this activity demonstrates UNS’ commitment to supporting legal protection for superior regional products, while simultaneously strengthening the role of universities in promoting intellectual property-based regional development. Through ongoing collaboration with local governments, UNS Faculty of Law is committed to providing academic assistance that has a real impact on the community.
This activity supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by increasing the economic value of superior regional products, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by strengthening intellectual property protection, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration between universities and local governments.
