Seminar Internasional “Law and Economics to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals in Democratic and Non-Democratic Regimes” Resmi Digelar di FH UNS

FH UNSFakultas Hukum Universitas Sebelas Maret sukses menyelenggarakan seminar internasional bertajuk “Law and Economic to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals in Democratic and Non-Democratic Regimes” pada tanggal 22–23 Maret 2024 di Hotel Sunan, Surakarta. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari skema Pembelajaran Kemahasiswaan berbasis internasionalisasi akademik yang bertujuan membuka wawasan mahasiswa dan akademisi terkait hubungan antara hukum dan ekonomi dalam mewujudkan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDGs), baik dalam rezim demokratis maupun non-demokratis.

Seminar ini menghadirkan narasumber dari berbagai institusi ternama, baik nasional maupun internasional. Di antaranya adalah Fajar Laksono Suroso, S.H., M.H. selaku Kepala Biro Hukum dan Administrasi Mahkamah Konstitusi RI, Prof. Adolfo Paolini dan Prof. Patricia Covarrubia Abogado, LL.M., Ph.D. dari University of Buckingham, Prof. Bobur Baxtishodovich Sobirov, Ph.D. dari Samarkand Branch of Tashkent State University of Economics – Uzbekistan, serta Rakotoarisa Maminirina Fenitra, Ph.D. selaku Direktur Asta Research Center – Madagaskar. Turut hadir pula dari FH UNS, Prof. Dr. Yudho Taruno Muryanto, S.H., M.Hum. Kegiatan ini dipandu oleh moderator Umi Khaerah Pati, S.H., M.H., dosen FH UNS.

Acara ini dibuka secara resmi oleh Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., QCRO selaku Wakil Rektor Bidang Perencanaan, Kerja Sama, Internasionalisasi, dan Informasi, yang mewakili Plt. Rektor UNS, Dr. Chatarina Muliana, S.H., S.E., M.H. Pembukaan ditandai secara simbolis dengan pemukulan gong yang menjadi momen penting dalam mengawali rangkaian kegiatan. Dalam sambutannya, Dekan Fakultas Hukum UNS, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ayu Ketut Rachmi Handayani, S.H., M.M. menyampaikan bahwa seminar ini merupakan wujud nyata dari komitmen FH UNS dalam memperluas jejaring global serta mendorong peran hukum dan ekonomi sebagai instrumen penting dalam menghadapi tantangan pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Selain sesi seminar, kegiatan juga dilengkapi dengan Coaching Clinic yang dipandu oleh dua pakar dari FH UNS, yaitu Prof. Dr. Lego Karjoko, S.H., M.H. dan Prof. Dr. Hartiwiningsih, S.H., M.Hum. Coaching Clinic ini memberikan ruang lebih dalam bagi peserta untuk menggali teori dan praktik hukum serta ekonomi dalam konteks global secara langsung bersama para ahli.

Peserta dalam kegiatan ini merupakan mahasiswa program Magister (S2) dan Doktor (S3) Fakultas Hukum Universitas Sebelas Maret, yang berperan aktif dalam seluruh rangkaian seminar. Kehadiran mahasiswa pascasarjana memberikan dinamika diskusi yang lebih dalam dan kritis, mencerminkan semangat akademik yang kuat serta minat tinggi dalam isu-isu hukum dan pembangunan global.

Kegiatan ini secara langsung mendukung sejumlah tujuan dalam Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya SDG 4 (Quality Education) yang mendorong peningkatan kualitas pendidikan tinggi melalui kolaborasi internasional; SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) melalui penguatan perspektif lintas rezim dan wilayah; SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) yang berkaitan dengan penguatan tata kelola hukum; serta SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals) yang terwujud melalui kerja sama antarnegara dan institusi akademik. Dengan pendekatan multidisiplin dan berbasis dialog lintas negara, kegiatan ini menjadi bagian dari upaya konkret FH UNS dalam mendukung agenda pembangunan global berkelanjutan.

Melalui seminar internasional ini, Fakultas Hukum UNS berhasil menunjukkan eksistensinya dalam kancah akademik global, sekaligus memperkuat komitmennya untuk terus berkontribusi dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan melalui pendekatan hukum dan ekonomi. Harapannya, hasil diskusi dan jejaring yang terbentuk dari kegiatan ini dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan kurikulum, penelitian bersama, dan publikasi ilmiah di masa mendatang.

Seminar Internasional “Law and Economics to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals in Democratic and Non-Democratic Regimes” Resmi Digelar di FH UNS

FH UNS – The Faculty of Law, Sebelas Maret University (UNS) successfully held an international seminar entitled “Law and Economics to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals in Democratic and Non-Democratic Regimes” on March 22–23, 2024, at the Sunan Hotel, Surakarta. This activity is part of the Student Learning scheme based on academic internationalization, which aims to broaden the insights of students and academics regarding the relationship between law and economics in realizing sustainable development (SDGs), both in democratic and non-democratic regimes.

This seminar presented speakers from various renowned institutions, both national and international. Among them were Fajar Laksono Suroso, SH, MH as Head of the Legal and Administrative Bureau of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Adolfo Paolini and Prof. Patricia Covarrubia Abogado, LL.M., Ph.D. from the University of Buckingham, Prof. Bobur Baxtishodovich Sobirov, Ph.D. from the Samarkand Branch of Tashkent State University of Economics – Uzbekistan, and Rakotoarisa Maminirina Fenitra, Ph.D. as Director of the Asta Research Center – Madagascar. Also present from the Faculty of Law, UNS , Prof. Dr. Yudho Taruno Muryanto, SH, M.Hum. This activity was moderated by Umi Khaerah Pati, SH, MH, a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, UNS .

This event was officially opened by Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, SE, M.Sc., Ph.D., QCRO as the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, Internationalization, and Information, who represented the Acting Rector of UNS , Dr. Chatarina Muliana, SH, SE, MH. The opening was symbolically marked by the striking of a gong which became an important moment in starting the series of activities. In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Law UNS , Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ayu Ketut Rachmi Handayani, SH, MM said that this seminar was a concrete manifestation of the commitment of the UNS Faculty of Law in expanding global networks and encouraging the role of law and economics as important instruments in facing the challenges of sustainable development.

In addition to the seminar session, the event also included a Coaching Clinic led by two experts from the Faculty of Law, UNS : Prof. Dr. Lego Karjoko, SH, MH, and Prof. Dr. Hartiwiningsih, SH, M.Hum. The Coaching Clinic provided participants with a deeper understanding of legal and economic theory and practice in a global context, directly with the experts.

Participants in this activity were Masters (S2) and Doctoral (S3) students from the Faculty of Law at Sebelas Maret University , who actively participated in the entire seminar series. The presence of postgraduate students provided a deeper and more critical discussion dynamic, reflecting a strong academic spirit and a keen interest in global law and development issues.

This activity directly supports a number of objectives in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), which encourages improving the quality of higher education through international collaboration; SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), through strengthening perspectives across regimes and regions; SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), which relates to strengthening legal governance; and SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals), which is realized through cooperation between countries and academic institutions. With a multidisciplinary approach and based on cross-country dialogue, this activity is part of the concrete efforts of the Faculty of Law UNS in supporting the global sustainable development agenda.

Through this international seminar, the UNS Faculty of Law successfully demonstrated its presence in the global academic arena and strengthened its commitment to continuing to contribute to sustainable development through a legal and economic approach. It is hoped that the discussions and networks formed from this activity will form the basis for future curriculum development, collaborative research, and scientific publications.
