FH UNS Won 2nd Place and Best Presentation at the 2025 PERSADA National Seminar Universitas Brawijaya

FH UNS Fakultas Hukum Universitas Sebelas Maret kembali menorehkan prestasi gemilang di tingkat nasional. Delegasi FH UNS yang dipimpin langsung oleh Dekan Fakultas Hukum UNS, Dr. Muhammad Rustamaji, S.H., M.H., bersama Dr. H. Shalih Mangara Sitompul, S.H., M.H., dan Aldi Rizki Khoruddin, S.H., berhasil meraih Juara 2 sekaligus penghargaan Best Presentation dalam ajang Seminar Nasional, Call for Papers, Workshop & Master Class yang diselenggarakan oleh Pusat Riset Sistem Peradilan Pidana (PERSADA) Universitas Brawijaya pada tanggal 27–28 Agustus 2025 di Gedung Auditorium Fakultas Hukum Universitas Brawijaya.

This national-scale academic activity was held in commemoration of a decade of criminal justice research by PERSADA, Universitas Brawijaya with the theme “Building a Modern and Fair Indonesian Criminal Justice System”. The forum presented a number of important figures, including the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Chief of the National Police. This event was also attended by hundreds of academics, researchers, legal practitioners, and students from various universities in Indonesia.

Dalam forum tersebut, delegasi FH UNS mempresentasikan makalah berjudul “Blockchain dan Otentisitas Berkas Digital: Studi Komparatif Transparansi Sistem Peradilan Pidana Berkeadilan di Indonesia”. Karya ilmiah ini berhasil masuk dalam daftar Top 10 Best Papers dan mendapat apresiasi tinggi dari para penguji, sehingga mengantarkan FH UNS meraih dua penghargaan sekaligus, yakni Juara 2 dan Best Presentation. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penerapan teknologi digital dalam proses peradilan pidana, khususnya pemanfaatan blockchain untuk menjamin keaslian dan transparansi berkas digital.

Hasil penelitian yang diusung delegasi FH UNS tidak hanya memberikan kontribusi akademik, tetapi juga menawarkan solusi konkret terhadap tantangan modernisasi sistem hukum Indonesia. Dengan pendekatan komparatif, penelitian ini menunjukkan potensi besar blockchain dalam meningkatkan akuntabilitas dan efisiensi proses peradilan, sekaligus mendukung agenda reformasi hukum nasional. Outcome nyata dari kegiatan ini adalah semakin luasnya jejaring akademik FH UNS dengan perguruan tinggi lain, peningkatan reputasi institusi di tingkat nasional, serta penguatan posisi FH UNS dalam pengembangan riset berbasis teknologi hukum.

Capaian ini selaras dengan beberapa target Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Pertama, SDG 4 tentang Pendidikan Berkualitas, karena melalui partisipasi aktif di forum ilmiah nasional, FH UNS berkontribusi dalam pengembangan pengetahuan hukum yang inovatif dan relevan dengan tantangan zaman. Kedua, SDG 16 tentang Perdamaian, Keadilan, dan Kelembagaan yang Tangguh, sebab penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya sistem peradilan yang transparan, akuntabel, dan berkeadilan melalui pemanfaatan teknologi blockchain. Ketiga, SDG 9 tentang Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur, karena riset ini menunjukkan bagaimana teknologi digital modern dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam infrastruktur hukum Indonesia demi mendorong efisiensi dan inovasi dalam sistem peradilan.

This achievement is a source of pride and motivation for the entire academic community of FH UNS to continue to work, expand contributions in legal research, and bring the name of UNS to be taken into account in the national and international arena.

FH UNS – The Faculty of Law of Sebelas Maret University has once again achieved a brilliant achievement at the national level. The FH UNS delegation , led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Law UNS, Dr. Muhammad Rustamaji, SH, MH, together with Dr. H. Shalih Mangara Sitompul, SH, MH, and Aldi Rizki Khoruddin, SH, won 2nd place and the Best Presentation award in the National Seminar, Call for Papers, Workshop & Master Class event organized by the Center for Criminal Justice System Research (PERSADA) Universitas Brawijaya on August 27–28, 2025 at the Auditorium Building of the Faculty of Law Universitas Brawijaya.

At the forum, the UNS Faculty of Law (FH UNS) delegation presented a paper entitled “Blockchain and the Authenticity of Digital Files: A Comparative Study of Transparency in the Just Criminal Justice System in Indonesia.” This scientific paper successfully entered the Top 10 Best Papers list and received high praise from the examiners, thus leading FH UNS to win two awards simultaneously: 2nd Place and Best Presentation. This research emphasizes the importance of implementing digital technology in the criminal justice process, particularly the use of blockchain to ensure the authenticity and transparency of digital files.

The research findings of the UNS Faculty of Law delegation not only provide academic contributions but also offer concrete solutions to the challenges of modernizing Indonesia’s legal system. Using a comparative approach, this research demonstrates the significant potential of blockchain in improving the accountability and efficiency of the judicial process, while simultaneously supporting the national legal reform agenda. The tangible outcomes of this activity include expanding the UNS Faculty of Law’s academic network with other universities, enhancing the institution’s reputation at the national level, and strengthening its position in the development of legal technology-based research.

This achievement aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets. First, SDG 4 on Quality Education, because through active participation in national scientific forums, the Faculty of Law UNS contributes to the development of innovative legal knowledge that is relevant to the challenges of the times. Second, SDG 16 on Peace, Justice, and Resilient Institutions, because this research emphasizes the importance of a transparent, accountable, and equitable justice system through the use of blockchain technology. Third, SDG 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, because this research shows how modern digital technology can be integrated into Indonesia’s legal infrastructure to promote efficiency and innovation in the justice system.

This achievement is a source of pride and motivation for the entire UNS Faculty of Law academic community to continue working, expanding contributions to legal research, and bringing UNS’s name to greater prominence on the national and international stage.
